Watch how easy it is for criminals to jam your car remote control

Get out of car
Take 1 extra second to push lock button on key and hear locking motors and/or see indicators flash

I've had to wait 10 minutes before the doors would lock.

Obviously the perps were actively jamming the area.

And your car doesn't have a key hole in the door?

They can jam my car till they are blue in the face, none of this remote locking useless feature BS...

That must be properly unnerving! Knowing they are watching you from somewhere! Sheesh!

Yes, eventually saw four suspicious looking guys in an old car.

As I approached them they took off. After that my car locked.

If I lock my car with the key then the immobiliser and alarm are not activated.

hide a hungry pitbull in the boot and another hidden nicely in a blanket in the back seat lol

Use the Mr Bean method of car locking.

Now you know when you hear that innocent "jammer" you're being warned or threatened.

Has happened to me once - but I stood at my car trying to lock it until it actually locked.

Have made it a habit - even at work - to ensure that the car is actually locked before walking away from it. Will check the drivers door and boot.

Thanks for the tip, next time I buy a car I will test this first, if the security system doesn't come on when locking the car manually, I will not buy it, due to bad design.

Where can I get the code and circuit diagram for that?
Edit: I meant for the Arduino jamming detector

If they jam the remote control, you can't drive your car from a distance away. Bastards! Now we have to walk back to our cars. :D

So does the jammer just notify you when there is a continuous stream of the frequency signal? It will buzz a lot from other people locking their cars and when you open your gate or garage... lots of buzzing

It is designed like that. If the alarm goes faulty, locking the vehicle with the key locks the car but does not enable the alarm.

So how does one then lock it and secure it if it is being jammed? Instead of standing around for 10 minutes and trying to see who is jamming you...
