Bike was an R1 I'm told and like Pitbull mentioned it's top speed is 299, at least that was the max a guy on the autobahn could get on it.

Don’t think that was taken from the crash scene. Probably just before.

Doubtful...

Assuming the car in the middle lane was being a right d00s and going at 150, the speed differential between those cars was not 150km/h...

Of course it makes no sense.. because its bullshyte..

There is this assumption that the speedo sticks at the speed you were doing when you have an accident which i think comes from Hollywood and not reality.

The "analog" needle can in fact stick in a couple of cases.

But the dashboard "digital" side would obviously be off.

However even so it's no indication of even attained speed and could very well run up by itself to max speed.

Oh I'm aware it can stick, but I very much doubt it would always stick at the highest speed during the accident, it would still register some deceleration before sticking more than likely....

Bikes are limited to 299 (well mine was)

The bike however gets to 299 way quicker than a car. The BMW may have been reeling him in at that point.

This is a modified bike which most probably had no limiter

Jesus, if he did 312KM/hr then that Bike that went by had to do over 400KM/hr which just makes no sense. O_0

The image of 312km/h wasn't at the very same moment and somewhere in the past.

It's probably also more like 280km/h in true speed sense.

Bike would much more easily do 300km/h than the car which needs loads of distance to make it happen.

I reckon from pure guesstimation they were doing 240-260km/h.

My CBR 1000 limited to 299.

S1000RR I never pushed that high. Highest if I should guess probably about 240 or there about.
