I think he means they could have reached those speeds earlier and out of view.

We know the 312 km/h is bullshit off a speedo so likely their real GPS reached speeds anyway would be 280-290 at best.

Possibly... but I doubt those cars were reeling him in at all at any point....

and yeah, the 312 on a speedo is nonsense...

Could wheel spin as the car was launched make the speedo indicate a higher speed? (During the accident)

Depends really if the speed sensor is wheel based or gearbox based.

It certainly could change the reading though but I doubt it would push it all the way up.

Fact of the matter though is that the picture is taken by someone sitting in a moving car while driving...not after the fact after the crash.

I mean if these okes were so serious about "top speed runs" they would surely have GPS loggers and not be posting kak pictures on the internet to "prove" their speed.
Ja but fake dashboard dials pulls the squeezers and the support from the brothers

After the wheel spin subsided the speedo would rectify, but that speedo picture has zero to do with that accident and may not even be from knobjockeys car either.

Oh yeah having ridden these bikes and driven these cars (unmodded granted) I alsp very much doubt it.

Flat taps all other things being equal the bike is going to be a bit rapey.

I know one can read impact speeds from the ECU. Don't know about the dash and crap like that.

The dash would be pretty much the worst way to read impact speeds... it would have minimal bearing on the speed of the impact at the end of the day, merely when the speedo stopped working (assuming it isn't springloaded to return to zero)

I know a little bit of inside info. Car was running on tyres with poor tread.

M3 & crappy tyres don't ask me why
So much this, doesn't matter what's under the hood, all of that technology meets the road in only four little places

F80 M3 is limited at 250km/h but in practice, limiter kick in above that.

- Base M3, Tested at Georotek, Limited to 262.72 km/h @ 6 100 rpm in 6th (Clock 266 km/h)

- You can pay BMW R25k to increase limiter to 290km/h, Tested at Gerotek, Limited to 291.15 km/h @ 6 800 rpm in 6th (Clock 295 km/h)

- The one in question is probably modded with the Vmax limiter removed. Its probably capable of doing speeds in excess of 300km/h, depending on the modification.

How does BMW justify this ?

Its capable of it, but purely based on visuals in that video, it was not hitting the limiter (stock or uprated one)

There are certain customers who want the capability of driving at those high speeds. BMW, Mercedes and Audi have an agreement to limit many of their sports cars at 250km/h and they all charge around R25k to increase that limiter.

Probably. What I do know is the F80 M3 will hit 245km/h in 1km from stand-still in stock form.

One less lunatic on the road. One less Blik Met Wiele. One less idiot who should get the Darwin award.
All good things. No sympathy from me.
ALL the spectators should also be prosecuted for aiding an abetting an attempted suicide.
