Looking his FB profile now, two small kids and a beautiful wife. Why the fark would one risk leaving them to their own by racing cars on public roads?

I get that one can die by a normal accident, or get killed in a robbery and all that. Why go and do stupid shyte risking their happiness?

I myself got rid of my bike because of my wife and kids.... I just don't understand it...
because he is in his twenties and to be fair that is still young dumb and full of cum.

But he should have known what he's doing is dangerous and how it could affect his family. At some point he surely should have considered the possibility of actually getting injured, disabled or died.

Nope, that's exactly the problem with people in cars...even the ones driving normal ones slowly.

They have no clue that it's heavy machinery with consequences.

At least generally the guys on bikes have half a clue after even a minor off.

I'm willing to put money on the fact he never attended any driving school of a high performance nature "because I'm an awesome driver and don't need that training".

If he did do any training he wouldn't have been in this situation in the first place.

I've experienced the same problem with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Technology in my car. It will keep a safe following distance between my car and the car in front. That means enough distance for someone to sneak onto that space and my car will firmly apply brakes, causing the cars behind me (who do not keep a safe following distance) to panic. In a scenario where this level of autonomy exists with humans who do crazy things, it can become a nightmare.

This is the problem with autonomous stuff....it only really works properly if everything else in the system is also autonomous.

Introduce anything manual and it all goes to ****.

Remember that most objects in the home can be used to do illegal deeds... just saying.
As much as the sue-happy special snowflakes wish it, its not practical
All of those object also serve a legitimate purpose, even a gun for self defence. There is no legitimate purpose/reason for a car to go over the speed limit. And we have the technology now to implement it.

But wouldn`t you say 60KM/h is too fast. Perhaps make the new speed limit in urban areas 20KM/h and like that one in guavament, make the highways 80KM/h?

pause this one at the 6 second mark, that's the widest he goes on the left of the freeway, touching the yellow line with a good meter before he would have hit grass/dirt off the road, at least that's what I'm seeing

So my complaint about speedsters is this.. when you driving at 120km/h it's only border line ok when this happens.. when faster.. good luck to you and people around you. When idiots drive faster down the highway I'm not complaining because they driving fast.. but because they induce errors on surrounding drivers AND in the event of a something unexpected.. there goes everyone and myself.

The first guy. You shouldn't try and play speedcop. When you see someone speed, just get out of the way.

True but you can only move to a slower lane at a pace and time that it is safe for you to do. So the idiots conducting a proctology exam induce erratic behaviour as the other driver 'tries' to get out of the way quickly. I actually don't blame people who sit on the fast lane when people harrass them and when idiots do this to me i actually slow down gradually so that i can move over and slip behind a slower car. expecting people to swing over at 120km/h behind a car going less than 100km/h.

I get out of the way as soon as i am no longer passing people or other lanes clear.. but expecting me to move over because you want to get to the next off ramp 3 seconds faster (morons between midrand and pretoria who ride up your bum always take the very next off ramp i noticed) is dumb.

Interestingly enough the times i felt like following people home and beating the **** out of them has been when its in the middle of heavy traffic, i.e. no place to go and they insist..

There's already technology that may enable that. Some cars have the technology to detect road speed signs and adjust cruise control to those speeds. So, with your suggestion, they can force the car's speed to be limited to road speed signs.
My google maps know what the speed limit is. It is programed into the map and GPS. Road signs are outdated. Link that up with the car ECU and just tell the car whatever speed is driven cannot be creater than the speed speed limit. If it is a report should be send to the metro police so that they can issue a fine.

More like...

this bra is a certifiable idiot! Can't believe the audacity of his post.

And not a care in the world for innocent drivers who can get taken out by these fools.

A car on the other side of the N1 would not have stood a chance.

Good to see intelligent people realising that they have to use social media responsibly. There's hope for this world after all.

I honestly do not care what speed people drive at, I care about reckless driving / endangerment of others though.

Sadly we have this whole "speed kills" bullshyte stuck in everyone's brain so most people assume speeding = reckless driving / endangerment. It. Does. NOT.

If this guy was in the middle of nowhere in the Karoo doing the same speed in broad daylight with nobody else in sight all the way to the horizon I would actually feel a bit sorry for what he is going through now. Not THAT much though; it would still be his fault and he'll be reaping what he sowed, but at least I wouldn't think he's just an a-hole.

What we see in the video is clearly both reckless and endangerment of others, so F-him.
