You dont feel it ..I have been 280 with a m5 as a passenger. 250 a few times as well

The cars reach 250 so easily its unbelievable

the 1st v10 models around 2006 and the 1st models didnt have limiters. Some software issue

Personally I can feel high speeds. I can clearly see the car is moving very fast and many sports cars like M3, C63 have low profile tires. road noise increases.

They are stable though because they are designed for high speed until something goes wrong.

We tried having a discussion about that, to get to the bottom of it, there's a couple of threads already trying to decode the mystery, it somehow never ends well.

I will try resurrecting one the threads and we'll see if we can make some progress.

Thank you champ.

El cheapo R1900 no name brand 255’s apparently.

Probably not remotely rated for the speed being done and would explain why it would either pop or simply just let go without needing much assistance.

yeah, people usually scrounge around for tires before a "race" if they dont find they dont not race, they just chance it with what ever they have. seen it many times.

but i drove past there on the way home, theres a big oil spill at that spot on the left, partly covered with sand. so he other hit that, or something blew in his engine.

Well, let's just say I'm supremely happy we're not married ...

I'd be going as fast as is reasonably safe to do given than one life is guaranteed to be lost if I go slow. I don't let my mental state dictate my driving fyi, neither should you, but cold logic would have me going f-ing fast regardless.
I've done 160 in a 60 zone.
Guy was gonna die and needed a hospital. Ambulance was gonna be an hour plus. Stabbed in lungs.
Road was a combo of freeway and 60 zones. Had driven the same trip previously to go for a dr visit, that time it took about 20-22min.
With the guy in the car the trip was about 9-10min. Trip went Sometimes faster, sometimes slower, depending if there were other cars at that point.
When we got him there and he had been seen to... Drs said afterwards if he was 5min later he would have died.
But while I knew who the guy was there was no emotional connection. His GF was in the car too and was in the back seat making sure he was not going to sleep as that was the instruction.

Turns out I know the guy driving the first car.

First hand account from him:

Bike was part of the race and at the time was hitting his limiter at 330km/h

The cars were going about 290km/h at the time of the accident.

BMW driver's wife and father was on the bridge at the time.

No passengers in either of the cars at the time.

So the fools whole family condone reckless driving and endangering all the other innocent road users, sies.

An organized illegal street racing event by a bunch of dumb hoodlums.

If the light poles on the higway are 50 m apart it took the bike les than a second between the poles. Distance 50 m times 3.6 he would have been doing 180km/ h

I could be wrong with the distance between poles and or judging time between poles.

I drove past the barrier he hit today and I must say that those barriers did a good job keeping him on the left hand side of the road and not flipping over.

Sjoe, bunch of sad c,unts on this forum wishing the guy more pain and suffering, remember that when you choke to death on something, people here will say ahh he should have chewed properly.
And one real dumb cnut that draws a similarity between highly dangerous illegal street racing and chewing and choking on something like food.

Dangerous to himself and other innocent road users.

They didn't - he went into the oncoming lanes.

****, I thought that he ricocheted back to his side. Watched the video again closely and saw he jumped the barrier.

That is one of my phobias, driving along calmly and some **** jumps the barrier. I avoid the right hand lane on the N1. Not that it will help much if this **** was in the oncoming side.

We should get solid concrete barriers all the way.

Was a sort of given that his family would have been on site watching this unfold. Seems the norm in this sort of "hobby" and culture.

People take movies way too literally. Thinking it's cool to race down highways and just because it usually ends up all orgies, hugs and kisses in the movies the sad reality is played out far from the movie sets when the star of those very movies ends up burning to death re-enacting those very scenes. Reality is a fickle master. And so you die...as you live.
