I'm not sure why this is on page 40. What a retard.

Because this thread was developing as more information and rumours were coming to light. There's barely any information in the initial article compaired to all the stuff that's been posted here.

No lessons will be learned here. After a while the need for speed will overcome their fear and they'll be back at it again. Fast forward several years it'll be a new crop of racers that have never even heard of The Tale of Brother Tawfeeq.
Unfortunately true

So he did lose his legs and seems brain dead... unfortunately dont think a lesson will be learnt here. These people arent the smartest and will continue doing this. The people filming are just as bad.

His Mom was wise not to make any excuses and reiterate that they're not looking for sympathy - I feel sorry for the family that were unaware of his inconsiderate reckless street racing.

I'm not a parent but if my child was driving around in a souped up M3 with TOYO TIRES across the windscreen, that would certainly raise a few red flags

As far as I know that bridge is covered by cctv camera - did whoever was watching it think a bridge full of people and parked cars was nothing to investigate ?

I respect the post the mom put out (other than the part about not knowing that he races). They are taking ownership for what he did instead of making excuses. He has made poor decisions, and he has already paid dearly for it. Thankfully no one else on the road had to pay the price.

Seems like there are lot's of rumours, but no definitive answer on whether he is brain dead. I for one hope that he can fully recover (amputations aside) if that is what is best for him.

I support the law taking it's course once he has recovered, in whatever form is deemed necessary.

But, unlike many of the quite unbelievable posts on here, I hope that he does not suffer more than he already has.

Parents always seem to know the ins and outs of the kak that other peoples children get up to, but are somehow the 'last' to know about their own children's business.

Facebook posts - most seem completely unsympathetic but there are some who say otherwise.

If my daughter or son was in the oncoming lane and got taken out by a toss like this, the loss of a brain and two legs would have only been a good start.
