The mom should be thanking us taxpayers as well instead of just God or Allah.

We all paid for the cleanup crew, emergency services and road/barrier repairs which probably is a tender so not cheap.

Also if you're on the same medical aid as this guy you're also technically paying for his medical expenses.

I surely do understand the words.

To answer your question - hilton college, kzn.
I was in falcon house.
Where was it you went to school ?

"Where did you go to school" = rhetorical question.

i gave a literal answer to rhetorical question

that aside, you are seeking to create false equivalency out of a statement claiming muslim prisoners in pollsmoor, is somehow equivalent to all muslims are gangsters.
taking that lunacy a step further would be to imply all muslims are therefore prisoners in pollsmoor.

we both know the above are patently false

there is a chance medical aid may not even pay.
he took part in an organized race.
medical aid companies have become very sticky regards claims, risks & disclosure

His wife and father were on the bridge but his mother didn't know? Yeah right.

People in their 50s aren't senile. They can connect two and two just as well as a person in their 20s/30s.
Urgh, if it went over your head as well, that was a terrible comment of mine

what hospital did he land up at ?
all the hospitals with proper trauma centres are quite a distance from the accident scene

chris barnard is a long sprint back to the city - but on a freeway the entire distance
vincent pallotti - part freeway
panorama - also part freeway
tygerberg - a really long sprint, but probably the most experienced in high impact trauma

Trying some unscientific and back of the napkin calculations
Anyone know what the distance is between those lamp posts in the image (red line)?

Rough time estimates I have between lamp posts are:
0.58s for the bike
and 0.77s for the leading car
(Would be interesting if other people could see what figures they can come up with.)

So, if for example the distance between posts are say 50m (and assuming those times mentioned are correct) then we would get :

Bike : 310 km/h (seems a bit fast - don't know bike speeds - if so maybe 50m incorrect or timing a bit off)
Car : 233 km/h

Oh yes : queue the criticism

I'm not a "bike guy", and I suspect a lot of us aren't, what does it actually mean. A certain sound?
Not so easy to hear when they go for top speed like this case, here, you'll see the bike's rev counter "stuck" at 11,000rpm and every few seconds hear the engine tone change slightly like it is misfiring briefly, that is the rev limiter:

Similar noise from F1 cars when their traction control kicks in, very easy to hear on a bike when it is just being revved or on a dyno etc though, at exactly 16s into this clip the limiter is hit:

I too call BS on the speeds, if you watch comparable youtube clips of people going those speeds it looks significantly faster than what we saw in this local "race".

Milnerton Medi Clinic is just under 5km from the scene and is where I ended up when a car smashed into me while on a bike on that exact stretch of road.

Potentially there?

Google says it's about 54m, so maybe 55 or 50 is a good number.

I've been having a few quick looks there as I pass, looks like he just missed the bridge pillar by like 2m where he went off

The data on the car showed that the air bags popped at 290.
Really? Did you gave access to the car prior to the police removing it from the accident scene?

There was sweet fa chance that car was doing 290 when the airbags popped.

In his condition? How does Vincent feel about that , or does he have a thing for bleeding amputees?
