How is the identical car one being manual vs DSG/PDK going to result in faster lap times? An experienced driver manually shifts in about 0.2 seconds. This equates to loosing 0.2 of acceleration each time an upshift happens. You can easily work out how many times you upshift on a certain track. You can then easily calculate how much acceleration you'll lose per lap and convert that to lost time.
Please show me some sources of the same car, where manual outperforms dual clutch paddle shifting.
As soon as the family can get him some Oscar Pistorius legsWonder how long before this legless oke is back on the road racing

Smith is not convinced this punishment is harsh enough.
"The sentences imposed often amount to nothing more than a slap on the wrist, which does little to change behaviour as the consequences are not dire enough."
Ideally, he argued, the perpetrator's vehicle would be forfeited.
While this was common practice in other countries, this is not considered constitutional, Smith explained.
The alternative would be to seize the car as evidence for the duration of the trial.
The brain damage must have happened years prior to the accident. How would they know, ........... wasn't very bright to start with.

He is lucky he didnt kill anyone else in the accident. The brain damage must have happened years prior to the accident.
I'm glad for his family that he's still alive, people sometimes deserve second chances.

There you go.
Very intresting article
Agreed, but he and his family will forever have to live with the consequences of his actions on that night. It's not like he is getting off easily, there's a tough road ahead for him.He is lucky he didnt kill anyone else in the accident.
You seem really unhappy that people seem to think this twat doesn't havemuch upstairs.Looks like you both have that in common

Thanks. Very informative.
I'd still like to see a 6 speed DSG or a 7 speed pdk go against it 6 gear manual counterpart where the gear ratios are closer together. That Camaro uses a 10 speed box. Unsure if all gears are used in sport or race mode. Never driven one.
I still want to see Qscwbt in a manual GT3 for example, outperform a pdk GT3 in a drag race. Not going to happen.
Looks like you both have that in common
Good news if he can use his experience to fight for this madness on public roads to stop. Won't be getting behind the wheel of a car that's for sure.He is awake. Eating. Talking. Aware of amputations. No signs of brain damage.
Saloojee, why would you defend a dumb R's hole like Tawfeeq who put all those innocent roads users lives at risk, .......... of wait, I see why.
