Oh but then that's a rather silly statement if you're even talking about the same cars and just various DSGs ....

Some DSGs are faster than manual
Some manual are faster than DSG

The way you talk, sounds like every manual is faster than every auto ...

Yes that's why I said the dsg cars I have driven and the dsg cars I have driven against.
So I am mentioning some of the dsg models.

I remember reading in the K53 book it is minimum 50km/h on ALL freeways. A sign doesn't have to be up i don't think.
Who knows, just going on what I read here: http://carinsurance.arrivealive.co.za/is-there-a-minimum-speed-limit-on-our-roads.php
to my knowledge there is no legislated minimum speed limit on freeways that constitutes a “one size fits all” requirement although there most certainly should be

So, after having reviewed the videos again, I have a theory about what may have happened.
Again, I’m just speculating here, and am probably 100% wrong.
So watching the video from the inside of the car, the other BMW is trailing, for most of it, and seems to pass the Toyo vehicle moments before the impact.
On the first video that was released, you can see where the Toyo vehicle is in front, and the 2nd BMW overtakes him. At this point they both pass a vehicle in the middle lane and the Toyo vehicle moves to the right.
If you look carefully it looks like the back left of the vehicle its seems to shift to the left slightly, like it went over something, or hit an oil spot, he then tries to correct it and at that speed can’t react fast enough and ends up hitting the barrier. Interesting to note that the driver side hits the barrier and the vehicle does a 180 before going over the barrier. So the passenger side also took a significant knock

Someone with some video editing skills should take all the videos and time-match them into a single video.

There is a thread over on BMW Fanatics where some posters seem to know the driver. Driver appears to be awake and recovering, albeit with no legs. Apparently the passenger only required some stitches to a finger.

So the safety mechanisms worked as advertised for the passenger - if those ****ers had hit an ‘ordinary’ car ie not costing well in excess of a million rand, you can bet that the people / person in the other car would be dead.

Selfish, uncaring pricks.

I can not be the only one that thinks this is horseshit, and even if he did ask that it was probably only because he thought that he will be going to jail.

Why would such a selfish prick (TM @AfricanTech ) now all of a sudden care about others. If he did he would not be driving that fast on a public road in the first place.

Wounds healing well.
He is awake, Conscious and Normal again
But still under observation.
He is aware that he lost his Legs But accepted those as Consequences of his bad decisions
Gods my witness, When he woke, his first Concern was if he Killed anyone. or Hurt anyone else.

I would like to add to the sentiment that him asking about others involved in the "accident" is complete and utter horse twaddle. If it was asked, it was 110% self serving.

Yeah I would think that is monumental horseshit...

There is a video going around where people are assisting him right after the accident. They ask him who was with him and he responds confirming someone was with him - perhaps he was asking where his friend is because the guy that was helping him started calling out for the guy. The crowd responds to the effect 'he is over here somewhere'. The way they reacted seems as if the other guy was around and not seriously injured.

I'm talking about Tofu-knobhead giving a damn if he killed anyone, other than the culpable homicide/murder charges... he didn't give a shyte about anyone else...

If that is true, which is doubtful, the passenger is dumber than Tawfeeq the illegal street racing hoodlum.

Didn't realise just how close he was to the bridge pillar. He's lucky he crashed where he did. A few more metres down the road and it would've been a mess.

Most of the time the passenger jumps in to record the race. There is a ton of videos out there on the accident, just seems to be scattered all over on whatsapp etc, and very difficult to find. I'm sure they all have been uploaded to a forum somewhere.

I'm quite interested in this as I think the M3 really did a good job at handling the crash, all things considered. Im amazed anyone in that car is alive after crashing at close to 300km/h.
