If she'd been driving a Bajaj Qute this would never have happened. ;-)

Another McLaren (I think..) These things are like cockroaches, ubiquitous!
This one is down near Pinetown, KZN. (4 days before the looting.)

Supercars should really only be sold to people who have completed an advanced driving course.

Loads of money =/= an ability to drive properly it seems.

Wrong !

All people should only be allowed to buy a(ny) car once completed the advanced driving course, especially women.

In fact , women and old people need to do it every time the license card expires.

I can't afford a SuperMoo, let alone a supercar, so no worries there. If I had the money I wouldn't buy one either - not that I have anything against supercars or their owners, but I know of so many people whose lives would be transformed for the better if I shared that kind of money with them, and that would make me far happier. But they are cool I must admit!

Doesn't take a rocket scientist...
But it takes knowledge of physics to drive high-end cars! Watch a program on SABC 3 called "Science of the Stupid" to understand.

Oh, of course, you lot don't do SABC -------

So how would an advanced driving course help you if it was not attended over a 3 month period daily practices to establish your reflexes regarding the car. You cannot establish a reliable reflex in one day to protect you, should your normal carefullness not work or something unexpected happens. If you go in panic condition for whatever reason, your body can do anything, and if the 1st 3 seconds is a fail you screwed, but established reflexes can if theres a few seconds available, meaning you not on your phone.

Take it you haven't seen the videos of people writing off their supercars straight out of the showroom? Not because of someone pulling out in front of them or something random, but just because they couldn't handle all that power.

Absolutely right, one or two advanced driving sessions aren’t going to make you a better driver.

But the idea is for you to realise how quickly things can come unglued with todays’ cars, in a controlled environment. Hopefully you’ll see what happens when you “stomp” it and, hopefully, avoid doing so on a public road.

I agree to a certain extent, but tell me , all accidents you see today are only caused with latest generation high powered cars?

And it's always the faster car driver at fault?

Sorry to hurt your feelings lady/old man/old lady.

Driving is so much of fun, but certain kinds will be who they are and spoil it all.
It is like getting a 4 x 4 or a rifle. Both require a certain competency to be able to drive use it.
If you stop there you have made your point. The moment you start profiling people you lose your argument and your support.

There’s a reason why supercars have high insurance. It’s more likely that someone will buy such a car and be reckless with it. The idea of training is to show you how it’s easier to lose it in a super car. People are generally over confident in their abilities. That doesn’t mean that a driver of a basic car can’t cause an accident; it’s just less likely for things to go very bad when speed is lower.

I commute between centurion and Johannesburg up to 4 ( 8 round) trips a week.

I literally take note of the drivers who cause so much of trouble unnecessarily.

trouble does not mean illegal hence all I can do is whine about it every now and again.
(there’s even a bad parking pictures thread, and so active , lol)

Sure I am generalizing , but the same is being done for speedsters isn’t it ?
