So, the DA spends all that cash on this ad and then prominently features the opposition? Free publicity for the win. Why did they need to include the ANC in the first place? Are they not confident in what they stand for to tell us more about themselves? This is akin to getting your fifteen minutes of fame and then spending a large proportion of it telling everyone how the other guy is schitt!

The DA could learn a lot from the EFF.

Exactly, they really can do much better than this.

Brilliant advert.

I think they spent a huge amount of time/effort/money/research to get this just right. The messages are brilliantly put together. There's a reason the ANC is not attacking it (except via Mandla) as they don't want to give it any more airtime. Strategically placed at the right time, the ANC/Hlaudi played this one badly.

(And I don't support either the ANC or DA btw.)

Was the ANC featured in a positive light? They don't sound too happy about the ad :)

On the EFF -

Quoted from the manifesto launch speech Julius gave -

Quite a lot of talking about the ANC, yes?

Yeah but you won't see the DA featured on any EFF or ANC election material.

Should post this in the jokes thread ......

Sure guy but which political party got 6% of the electorate on their first try?

Brilliant advert, deals with everyone
Especially apathetic voters, and poor people.

Mandela's voice gives it a big legitimacy, as everybody respected him.

I often ask, if Mandela wasn't anc, who would he vote for?
