Sigh: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=6853383 threads on the same topic now.
Just a typical day in Africa! It's the norm in South Africa!
Why don't you leave?
It would be better for everyone, including you.
Agreed. Or why don't he start a revolution since he's using that picture of Che Guevara? Probably too ****less anyway. Why don't you leave?
It would be better for everyone, including you.
You think I am being a drama queen? He was not complaining, just making a statement.
Stop being a drama queen.
You think I am being a drama queen?
You obviously do not often read Seriously's posts. Apart from a record number of exclamation marks (oh, the drama!) the next most obvious thing about them is the constant negativity about South Africa (And thinly veiled racism)
If he hates the country that much... There are plenty of others to emigrate to.
To be honest, I cant blame him. It's time to face the facts. This place is going downhill fast. He might be negative, but probably because he cares about the country and is concerned about the future. He may have also been affected by crime, unemployment, etc. We dont know his . Not everyone has the luxury to just pack up and leave.
Give the guy a break.
such ratchet comments everywhere![]()
I'm not going to "give the guy a break".
Firstly: anyone with any meaningful skills or resourcefulness can pack up and leave. If they choose to stay (or feel they do not have the skills or resourcefulness to manage to leave) then they should STFU and deal with it.
I come from Zimbabwe. While I am no expert on collapsing economies, I have more experience than most of you. In Zim I have a few friends. They are living well, having realised that with the right attitude and some hard work, it is very possible to live a good, happy life in a ****hole. You don't see them complaining every day online about everything ZANU(PF) does - no, they see the possibilities and exploit them.
In South Africa, the similar opportunities exist. All it takes is the right attitude and hard work. You can live very well in this country if you can manage that.
But if you can't manage that - and all you can do is complain about the "cancer", then you are as bad as the people you condone for wanting everythng handed to them on a plate.
Bitching about your lot in life is not going to change anything. Only Seriously can change his life, and it seems he is unwilling to even try, preferring to deflect the blame for his misery onto the failures of the country.
You kidding right? So if I don't like the crime here I must leave
