Thanks. Nice bit of digging that gives an idea what this guy is up to.

“Members of the public record connected security boss being dodgy and get what’s coming to them” seems like a story closer to the truth. The video, if we ignore the chotzi(sp?) in yellow, just looks like a scuffle to get his phone or whatever he is holding on to while a woman goes into panic.

Can’t condone it, that would be voting for poor behaviour, but there has to be more to this story.

Don't make this political.

I'm not saying what the police did was right but don't look for trouble when it can be avoided. This is SA so anything is possible best avoid confrontation (stay out of peoples way and mind your own business)

Dad is that you?
It is political. These are politically connected people that's why the Police did nothing.

So they attacked them for taking a video? I will admit I was wrong if that's the case because my view was that the victims did something like brake check etc (all the avg road rage tactics) then run to the police for help.

So they drive around in fake security cars, a law upon themselves. Shows you how this country is coming apart at the seams.

What's fascinating is that this company exists without much of a web presence at all. How do you suppose they get their work?

Tenders and shady business dealings possibly including illegal mining and nightclubs as shown by your post #64. Most shady BEE companies have very little web presence. Usually a one page photo with telephone numbers, usually a residential address and an email.

Yeah no.

You can visit many people as many times as you want and tell them what you want. The police can actually lay charges and act on behalf of the State.
The fact that they choose not to is a different issue altogether.

Only for crimes against society such as drug dealing and possession or drunken driving. The police cannot act for crimes against individuals except for murder.

Even if that is the case, it doesn't warrant an assault in a police station by the police.

Assume the guys in camo are divergent ops who were there to help the couple? They seem to also just look on as the assault continues.

On whether the police can investigate a case without someone complaining surely at the very least they have a duty to stop a person being assaulted? And in this case they also had a duty to stop a bunch of armed people going into a police station as that was now endangering everyone.

A shortcut to the relevant part in the vid:

Again no, this is not actually the case. The police can legally institute charges on behalf of the State if they witness or are informed of a crime in the list of Schedule 1 crimes and investigate it and find there are grounds to do so.
That they do not operate that way is a different issue completely.

Can i be Devils advocate and reverse the situation ? White men drags black dude around in copshop, kicking and beating him.

Then they would all still be cunts assaulting a member of the public in a police station, but all the politicians would get involved and stoke hatred against your people. Much similar to what our local bigot Alice are doing in the other thread.
