We needed to carry out repairs on our swimming pool and this will be complete in a week or two's time. After that it will need to be filled as we do not want the marbalite to crack. Having the current water restrictions in place we would pay a fine of around R6700 by filling it with the municipal supply, apparently they look to see if you've had a massive spike in water usage to see if you've filled your pool (even if neighbours don't report you). We don't want to risk this option and pay the fine.
I've managed to find two companies that have quoted on 36kl of water (36'000lt) and the prices vary greatly. The one is R9'390.00, the other is R17'698.50.
Makes me think that paying a fine on top of a large municipal bill for the month will still be less than the cheaper option above. We also don't have neighbours with a borehole.
Does anyone else know of other options or companies that could assist?
