Just saw the ad on Mnet.
New reality show hosted by Colin Moss. (Interesting facts about him in the Presenter section of the link) Okay 1 interesting fact. :p

Way of the warrior - Mnet

They say it is a show for out of shape guys. But surely there will be fighting involved.
Will be interested to see how they structure the show regarding eliminations, fights, groups and training.

Yes, I know. What I was trying to point out was that the only interesting fact there is that he has been training Muaythai for 5 years. I never knew that.

So what do you think of the concept?

I think it's another way to make money. The media exec who came up with it is smiling all the way to the bank.

Very excited to see some martial arts talent...I've seen the dragon Power bunch in action and a couple of their competitions on "CTV - Cape Town TV" live. This should be a little different from "The Contender" as Maui Thai is "Smash & Bash with elbows and knee's" :D Hold on to your teeth!!!

On another note...I've also seen "The Way of the Warrior" on the Discovery Channel and the documentary refers to a number of Japanese martial arts...So its just my opinion but they could have called the show something else....like "The Way of the Elbow.....or 14 Ways to Lose your Teeth" :D :D

I'm thinking that the screening process will choose out of shape guys but with some sort of fighting background. I can just imagine some fatty with no fighting experience getting picked and getting smashed to pieces in the first few seconds of his fight.

I think the "For out of shape guys" part is a bit misleading. It should have been "Out of shape fighters".

Maybe they will split the group in half with regards to fighting experience and see if the guys without experience can learn enough during the training sessions to smash the experienced guys around.
