WBS cant'n supply me with basic services - recieving E-Mail.

We not talking about p2p, streaming e.t.c., we talking about normal pop3 protocol.

I have mail server at my website. This website hosted by Mister.Net - big guys in USA. I can retrieve my mail through ANY other then WBS ISP. With WBS i get speed 1-3kB/sec and becomes zero in 30 sec. So if mail is more then 20-50k - i can't recieve it. Then suddenly everything is fine - mail running at 80kB/sec. This problem start in the middle of May. In June it was 10% of time and from last week it 99% of time. WBS agreed that problem exist but unfortunately they can't solve it - it requires some knowledge.
I tryed different mail agents and different locations and types of connections - result the same - everything work, exept WBS.
For testing purposes i created mail account to everybody to test-
username: test1@oknotours.com pass: test1 pop3-server: mail.oknotours.com (pls use full username). There is 4 files at server with different size. Please DON'T DELETE them! Make "leave message at the server" settings at mail agent!

Can somebody figure it out - what is wrong?

2 WBS: Why you charge me for non-exising service and why you pay salary to the brainless peoples?

This is an ongoing problem ... UUNET has been blamed ... I just wish it could get fixed.

I personally still recon there is something between bw-manager and uunet link ... Systems on UUNET network can get to my mail fine ... but the moment one is subject to their bw management box problems start....

My workaround is to tunnel via ssh to my US box ... this has however become just as pointless as my SSH sessions to my US box now dies during the day ... lovely....

Basically ... WE as paying subscribers can ONLY fix the problem by changing ISP's....

I'm starting to think WBS got no bucks.

There are many industrial strenght bw mgr products on the market (many of which I've personally used) that dont perform like WBS's pokey setup. They just cost a bit.

That goes for their proxy too ... feels like squid on some old PIII box ... have they not hear of (or can afford) NetApp, BlueCoat or others?

squid is fine for the heaviest of situations - if configured correctly, and using decent hardware for the load. I'd really like to see what the load average is for their poxy proxy box.

wbs has throttled their speeds in a big way.... and it's sad because they seem to be denying this which says they are either trying to conserve bw because of the cost or they simply dont know what they are doing...

IMHO the last one. No one, including Luis, have an idea what is wrong. The only ansver is "we work on it". What is mean "work" in this case? For two and half month . . .

Today it is dead again....
WBS have no clue what it is.
I suggest them to make extra mailboxes fo me to recrify this problem for the time when they can fix it. Reply is negative. They told me that creation of such mailboxes technically impossible. Can one believe in such bu****t story?
WBS not only have brains to rectify the problem but they even dont want to move they ****s to help customers.
