Komati is decommisioned to be converted to renewables, Rooiwal isn't an eskom station it's Tshwanes, Camden, Grootvlei and Hendrina were mothballed until 2008 through to 2010, they were brought back to sort out power shortfall till Medupi and Kusile came online, but they have been causing plenty of issues thanks to their ages, the others have been having issues due to crap coal.

Well they did connect Majuba to the grid, though it did take 13 years to be built. Started in 83 first unit went live in 1996, which is actually longer then Kusile and Medupi

Yup that is the scary thing, it really does point to them just counting on the old infrastructure for too long. But they are too scared to privatise Eskom cause the poor people won't get free electricity.
