Actually wasn't really much of an issue past 2008, it took almost 7 years till the next session of shedding. 2008 was like a blip, 2018 was when this current lot started and we've had no years off.
Yup, and in those 7 years much of the root causes of our current issues were laid.

We are paying for almost a decade of inaction and incompetence.

What exactly are they doing about loadshedding?

A couple of years ago I thought the stories about a total grid collapse were fear mongering but at the trend we are going it looks like it's inevitable. I worry about looting and our economy and I just never thought that South Africa would be decolonised so quickly.

Zimbo land took about the same before it quickly picked up pace in early 2000s and went tits up....

Sounds like my 4 year old, "I promise I'll be a good boy"..
Can we put him in govt, he'd probably live up to that promise for at least 5 minutes . My kids say the same thing, but they good for like 5 or 10 minutes then they up to no good again
