I think they only sell ,as is, if you are a dealer otherwise they have to follow CPA rules when sell to the publicSold as is, hence don't assume anything and take someone with you who can accurately assess a vehicles condition if you cannot.
Does anyone know if they allow Dekra testing or similar at the buyers cost before purchasing?

That's the loophole they use to avoid Cpa, they sell as a "wholesaler" and apparently dealers legitimately do buy from them, but as a special allowance they also permit peasant's to buy vehicles from them but wholesale = no warranty. In correct.
They dont have to follow CPA because they are a vehicle wholesaler.

It's like buying a car from an auction, no comebacks, what you see is what you get.
My condolences.Going on Monday to see a Toyota etios 1.5 sprint 2013
I dont know about that but I know for a fact wsc sells the majority of its vehicles voetstoots, how it does that I'd love to know bit that's the way it is.http://www.nortonrosefulbright.com/knowledge/publications/72877/auctions-and-the-consumer
An individual who wishes to purchase a vehicle for his own use is not a wholesaler. No matter what We sell cars insists. The buyer is covered by the CPA.
As illustrated in the attachment there are many conditions that the auctioneer has to comply with in terms of the CPA when selling to a private individual.

I've never been to a vehicle auction where the vehicles were not all sold voetstoots, unless there was still some of the manufacturers warranty left.
Your link states: "If you are the buyer of goods you may be prepared to sacrifice the implied warranty of quality in favour of the chance of getting the goods at a bargain price at an auction."
Why?My condolences.
Why?
LolThat unashamedly cheap interior? Toyota did not even try...
I was there over the weekend. The auction vehicles and cash vehicles are all sold voetstoos.
As per their website:
" WE SELL CARS IS AN APPROVED DEALER WITH WESBANK, STANDARD BANK, ABSA AND MFC
If you finance - the price is still the same wholesale price you see displayed on the vehicle, except there are additional costs as with any vehicle finance deal.
• Finance is only available on qualifying units.
• Qualifying vehicles would be vehicles younger than seven years, with mileage of less than 120 000 km - as a guideline.
• The vehicle has to have at least a 6 month manufacturer warranty or an additional warranty needs to be purchased for the vehicle.
ADDITIONAL COSTS RELATED TO FINANCED TRANSACTIONS:
• License and Registration cost - R1 850.
• Service and delivery cost - R2 950.
• We offer 2-year Warranties - Ranging between R7 000 and R11 000."
So if the vehicle falls within the finance age and mileage threshold the CPA would apply, I assume.
