If buying cash there's no extra costs, price you see is the price you pay?
Yes. But then you will be responsible for registering the vehicle in your name and doing the transfer of ownership.

When they buy a vehicle from you what kind of due diligence do they do to ascertain the running/mechanical condition?Bought two cars from them and sold two to them. Pretty easy bunch to deal with.

That money for a Volvo? I thought they had bad resale or is yours a limited edition of sorts?I tried my first car (Volvo C30 T5) and they offered R160k - but I got R200k through an Audi dealer the following week.
A few years later I needed to get rid of the Audi I'd bought and I thought the first figure was maybe because it was a Volvo. So I tried again ... and they offered R200k (I got R240k trade a few days later through a Volvo dealer)
I decided again to try the 3rd time with them on another Volvo ... they offered R150k-R160k and the dealer only slightly higher at R160k-R170k ..... and CarZAR offered an instant R164k
They seemed horrendous a few years ago - but maybe now that there is competition, their figures are more in line?

Thanks... One dayDamn that Polestars are rare af! Such a lovely machine. Better luck next time hey.

Some PolestarsThe thing with this A5 is that they acknowledged the fault with the pistons ... but the best they could do was, 'oh when it breaks - you don't have to worry because we'll pay'. It's Audi SA policy to only fix when broken'. I wanted them to repair the issue before it broke - but they wouldn't do that. I needed to first break down on the highway, then phone them and then they'd repair in a few days. Whereas a Volvo would say to me, 'oh - this looks like it'll break in future, so we'll repair before it got to that point'.
The new Volvo didn't work outA friend owns a large auction house and he prompted me when it arrived, (Monday) as he knows I'm a fan. I had two days to get all the figures etc as the auction was this Wednesday - but ultimately I was outbid on the Volvo
The car was in DBN, so I couldn'r drive it and Volvo were quite slack in getting my vehicle information via the VIN (you win some with the sales guys, you lose some ...)
It was a 2016 Volvo S60 Polestar with 46,000km on the clock. It's 2.0l All Wheel Drive with 270kw and claimed 0-100km/h in under 5 seconds. There were only 45 examples bought in 2016 (and 28 the year prior) - so not easy to get

Interested to hear from people who have bought from them (or went and didn't). I like the idea but am worried that these cars are lemons in generally
Anybody gone to the showrooms to see what's what?
