Maybe we should scrap the arms deal and the Gautrain and build more medical training facilities. It's unacceptable that a large University like Tukkies can only accommodate 220 or so med students a year. They should be at least double that.

It might not be so simple though. Where do you find people qualified and capable of teaching medicine on a whim?

From what I hear on this forum, all you need to do is wait at the departure lounge at JHB International airport. I'm told there are loads of capable and qualified people there. :)

that's the only truth you are capable of grasping today, yet others cannot. That's why they try hard to bring them back and failed also why they now want to "re-employ" 40 ex security members as the current literates cannot do their jobs!

what they neglect to tell us, there is now 60% black ,40% white quota being applied to all aplications for medicine (uofs for one). This is why white students with super scores arent getting in, andthe blacks who barely passed does. End result is that blacks fail and need additional courses (taking up more capacity) and very few of students pass final year which keeps them in the system with even more capacity taken up. Blacks also get amazing amount of second chances if they fail.....

I wonder how many of the students are planning on leaving the country as soon as they have their qualifications and a few years experience?

And now not even teachers anymore. Huge vacancies for qualified teachers and no takers anymore.
SA has ‘previously disadvantaged’ itself into the future also.
Nobody was disadvantaged; they were never there in the first place. Nice propaganda and in time propaganda shows in real life as being what it is – hogwash to get funds.
