To choke you have to be in a place of dominance and then screw it up. We were never in a place of dominance against England. We were totally outplayed but superior bowling and batting. Our cr@ppy shot selection was also dismal.

We weren't beaten, we were thumped by a better team.

Strange how that only happens when we play in the ICC tournaments though.

IIRC New Zealand was the last ODI series we lost in a while. The other series we have won.

Chokers or jokers?

How can we be jokers? dude we were/are the number one test team, one day and i can't recall if we held the t20 spot as well. Jokers don't go and win series in india. We are a power house, put us in a competition and we will not make it. We did it once but that was not the world cup. I gave up getting all bleak and i have accepted we will choke. Makes it so much easier when we choke to know it was coming, i used to get all torn up and angry when we choked. We are boss when we tour, for some reason we can kick some serious ass on tour but fail in tournaments .

In his last few months as coach Kirsten looked bored and disgruntled.
Now with this uncalled for comment he won't win any friends from the Protea camp.

Something has gone wrong with the Proteas and it shows.

Interesting times ahead.
