Yes from Cape Town. I was uncomfortable when they (DA) were in an arrangement with the EFF for JHB and PTA. I would collapse all DA/EFF coalitions. The vast majority of DA voters hate the EFF and would never back them under any circumstances.
Dude. The choice is ANC or DA/EFF there isn't a choice of just DA. Stay in Cape town rather and stop shilling for the ANC.

If the EFF has control of JHB they will make ANC looting look trivial in comparison. There will be wholesale theft of basically the entire city budget. For the love of all that is holy, do not do this.
This is needed. If we can limit the communist experiment to one city and not the whole country then so be it.

There is something wrong with democracy if a 10% party has so much say into who governs the rest..
No there is nothing wrong with democracy, the 40% parties who can't work together are what gives the 10% one more power.

I see the ANC are supporting the EFF in a motion of no confidence in Pretoria. Wonder if they don't have an agreement of reciprocity where the ANC get Johannesburg and the EFF get Tshwane.

So the ANC candidate is Geoff Makhubo.

An amaBhungane investigation claimed he scored R30m in deals with Gupta-linked Regiments Fund managers.

 this is what happens when you bareback hookers. That STD comes back to bite you.

Screw these EFF political crosstitutes.
The DA should never have made a pact with these Devils.

In my opinion the DA should step back from running these metros and let the residents experience the collapse.

They'll soon catch on the DA was the best option to vote for.

Black NMB residents are openly stating they want the DA back in power in the city because the regress under Baboni in just a few months is tangible and regretful.

You expected the nomination or the criminality? Or both?
The criminality, I knew that Ace was going to pick the dodgiest cadre he could find, this is consistent with the Parliamentary committee chairs he was able to get for his faction.

The ANC voters will have it as shît as they always have. Nothing will change for them.

The DA stepping back only screws the middle class.

It is easy enough to convince the voters in NMB, how things happened in Joburg is totally different, in NMB Trollip was voted out, Joburg is the DA's creation and the voters would judge them on that.

The less said about Tshwane, the better, I doubt there'll be any voter crying for the DA to come back.

Joburg ANC vows to drag city council, Speaker to court

Johannesburg - A livid ANC member in Joburg has pledged to take the city's council and Speaker to court to review the decision to postpone the election of a new mayor and accused the DA of running scared.

On Thursday at the council in Braamfontein, Speaker Vasco Da Gama postponed the election in order for the city to obtain a legal opinion regarding the correct interpretation of Section 7 of the Municipal Structures Act in terms of what constitutes a majority.

The council ordinarily has 270 seats, which have been reduced by one following the death of ANC councillor, David Monamodi.

However, after objections by EFF council leader Musa Novela as to whether a stipulated 136 votes or more is still required to elect a new mayor, Da Gama called for a five-minute break to consult with the council legal desk.

Following the short adjournment, Da Gama postponed Thursday's vote to December 4 and December 5 after a legal opinion has been obtained.
