Web Register South Africa - Snail Mail Scam

One of my clients received a claim for payment from this bunch via normal mail & thought I might have registered them

Also saw the scam last month just before accounting signed off on the payment...

The letter looks sort of legit with a South Africa coat-of-arms emblem on the front. The dead give-away was that the payment must be made to a German company, bank account and postal address.

Oh yes, the good old days - long before the Internet - the exact same way the Nigerian 419 scam operated back then

They contacted one of our sister companies about a month ago trying to get them to register with them.
The pricing was in very small print...

Necro: Wife just got it in snail mail. It looked rather legit until I checked the documents. We thought it was related to CPIC as they even had a South African coat of arms.

We just had someone walk into one of our stores with the letter threatening us with removal if we didn't pay.
