Replied to my ticket with MTR results.

Issue just popped up right now, I had an MTR running in the backround while this was happening but not seing any packet loss or anything but all webpage return a connection timed out error, netflix not loading, steam is offline but funny enough whatsapp and even mybroadband website loads fine.

When I receive a reply to my ticket I will send back the current MTR that ran in the backround while internet went funky.

Edit: Ok no packet loss to speedtest.dbn.websquad.co.za but seing some packloss to speedtest.websquad.co.za

These were both run while internet is mostly non functional:

@websquadza any updates on this matter? Haven't received a reply to my ticket (#883766) yet but internet is unusable at the moment with almost all websites either returning an internal error message or they simply time out, work conference calls are also dropping and even netflix and youtube won't even launch. Please could you look into this?

Cam you check this again, looks like an Edge router was having a bad time in JHB. We took it offline around 1pm. Things seem to have cleared up since.

Take whatever piece of equipment you have at this location and set it on fire. It will be an improvement.

We are seeing some losses on our NLD paths. We are down one route between JHB and KZN (Major break on the fibreco route, excavator on site to repair damage caused by contractors); and the secondary is showing some loss despite only being at 30% capacity. We're engaging the route vendor for some feedback

Vendor made some route changes around 3pm, path looking stable now.

KZN NLDs were fully restored this morning and traffic has been moved back over to the primary path.

@websquadza Please reply to this, think you missed it. Also not getting a reply on the ticket #964479
Sorry, been trying to at least get any update from Vuma before responding; it sucks saying that we're getting no new feedback every time you follow up. Our team is harassing everyone, but right now, heads are in the sand. I've asked our KAM to get involved as well.

v6 Accelerator is up. Transit isn't yet - just followed up now to see what the holdup is as the ports are now up. Singapore - still an issue on the SAFE route, no ETR as of this morning.

No stress, I know the deal with Vumatell, and I know you guys are on it! Thanks for doing everything you can regarding this, I know it must be frustrating.

Escalated to account manager at Evotel as their support are incapable of anything beyond tier 1 (Checking line status). Thanks for your patience here.
Not sure how much patience I am going to have left as I keep on having to answer the same questions and now it is a finger pointing exercise between ISP and FNO as who where the issue is.

I understand 100%. We’ll fight the fight- just asking for a little patience. @EvotelZA have a poor attitude to dealing with support queries that fall outside the norm. We’ve addressed this with them previously and very little being done about it.

Any update on the fix for the ddos protection? I mean it's not even funny anymore, think I'll have to downgrade....

DDos shouldn’t be affecting Paygate. Will check on what’s going on here - this is peering traffic.

Had a chat to the new provider yesterday- configs should be complete on their side by Tuesday and we’ll bring them up.

Cool, keep us posted.

GitHub and Bankserv were definitely affected.

Edit: I should I use use PiHole as a recursive DNS server, could be the query that's being blocked?

What DNS are you querying? Bankserv is local and GitHub fed via Microsoft- peering. Can you PM me a trace?

Thanks
