I have been trying various channels to attract WA's attention to a problem I have with my internet ..... no reaction whatsoever.

Is there any other way than through their web sight or phone to contact anyone at WA? The CEO's phone number?

So they don't answer support tickets, email, chat or phones? Weird. Which numbers have you tried? Who have you spoken to?

In my experience, they don't answer support tickets quickly enough, you need to phone their call centre if you want something done immediately.

Registered a ticket last Monday. Followed it up on Wednesday via email - still no reaction. Then I tried the chat line where I was put on hold every time. Then I phoned I think on Thursday which ended up the same way. I eventually got through to sales (Daryl) who promised to escalate the request on Friday.

Webafrica contacted me 30min ago apologising for the delay and undertakes to fix the problem.

Thank you

yeah they seem to be very slow - been waiting almost a week for support ticket to even be looked at. Do we have a rep on the forum who can help?

I make use of web Africa hosting. This mail came at then end of last week.

We are almost ready to start the process of moving some of your hosting services from Webafrica to Gridhost. You should have received an email from Webafrica on the 28th of September 2017, informing you that we will be taking over and migrating all hosting services from them. This will be a phased service migration, not account-based. This means that you might have some hosting services with us and Webafrica, until the migration is completed at the end of November 2017.

During this phase, we will migrate the following services:

· Linux: Reseller and Shared Hosting (cPanel)
· Cloudflare
· Domains

**Please note that any SSL certificates associated with the above services will be migrated too.

We'll be conducting the migration throughout the upcoming week (23 – 27 October). There will be no downtime or change to anything on your server itself. Your IP address, server location, price, resources, and server logins will stay the same. For now, you can still manage your services within your Webafrica Customer Zone. As soon as we've completed the migration of your services, we'll send you a migration confirmation email and the link to your new Gridhost Client Area.

For more information around the migration and billing changes, please take a look at Webafrica’s blog . If you have any questions around the migration, please give us a call on 086 000 9584 or support@gridhost.co.za

Regards

The Gridhost Team

By now you should know that we've split our Hosting and Internet Access parts of the business. All hosting services (excluding domains, which will be migrated soon) have been migrated over to Gridhost, and we will remain focused on Internet Connectivity.

Gridhost will now handle the support and invoicing for all your hosting services (excluding domain renewals). We've owned Gridhost since 2013, so nothing will change regarding your service or package, prices, resources, IP addresses, the server location, logins, or even the support team you deal with every day. There is no need to worry, as you will still receive the great service you’ve always enjoyed!

If you want to find out more about the migration, please have a look at Webafrica’s blog. If you have any questions or require support, please contact Gridhost on 086 000 9584 or support@gridhost.co.za.

Got the same email as i have domains registered with them... so much for nothing changing / dont worry BS.

BUT oh they Migrated my services so well that all DNS info and the domains themselves are gone...:mad::mad:

Tried to get through to their support number but seems like the only reason they even have phone is to annoy you further with their k@k on hold music

Time to move and wont ever touch them with the proverbial barge pole
