WebAfrica - what is considered fair usage on uncapped home fibre

I have a WebAfrica uncapped home fibre line and everything has been working fine since installation a few months ago.

Suddenly the last two days the line is extremely slow and often can't even do basic browsing.

I have been averaging around 400GB data a month for the last few months and stayed well in the 5 Star rating.
so that is about 13GB a day and that is not excluding the 12am to 6am "free" usage.

Now suddenly I am on a 1 Star rating. I checked my usage and average for last 10 days has been around 15GB. There was one day about 6 days ago that spiked to 35GB - kids did a playstation update.

Is this type of usage within acceptable ranges?

What do WebAfrica consider acceptable use on a uncapped fibre account? Asked them on chat but they won't commit to a number.

I have read other threads here about webafrica / openserve issues in the last few days. I am in the Pretoria East area, so not sure if these issues and my speed are related?

Fair usage according to ANY ISP, is any usage they (ISP) think is too much. So unfortunately there is no definite answer to this.

I'm also PTA East, Afrihost 'uncapped 1st tier', same issues as you, they want to force us to upgrade the package (R200 more), but according to me it is a filthy tactic by them.

What Speed are you guys on? Considering staying with WA, but not if their throttling is too restrictive.
