Is it easy to hack websites in general?

How about websites written in Wordpress vs Dreamweaver?

Why hack a website?
What is the benefit as all information is displayed there?

To change content?

Not talking about Phising banks and online shopping etc.

Generally packages like Wordpress are popular enough that someone will find a security hole and exploit it. It will get a patch released usually but most people don't bother to patch. Also there's like common things to secure your Wordpress that some people don't do and learn the hard way.
Dreamweaver is just an html editor. So if you never put anything that runs as code on the server then your website probably wouldn't be very hackable, at least not through the actual site.

Has the ISP not got security in place for protecting code on their servers from hackers?

The webhost can also cover a lot of flak with their configs. Some better than others.

If you put up a site that uses a code driven backend then no, never ever heard of any ISP ever checking your code etc. The only real protection is to limit your access and thus your codes access to only your account so you can't take out other peoples accounts or the server.
