Anyone heard from our esteemed power parastatal about loadshedding prospects from today until Sunday? I'm sure there would've been announcement by now if there was loadshedding today (he said, clutching at straws)...?

No it hasn't. Eskom is not currently load shedding. Stage 2 will commence at 16:00

Lots of snowfall forecast for the Western and Eastern Cape as well Lesotho over the weekend. Power demand is going to be higher than usual.

Eskom tweeted it does not expect loadshedding for most of Saturday but Stage 1 likely in the evening peak. Full day stage 1 loadshedding for Sunday

I haven't seen any indication yet that it will necessarily be limited to stage 1 tomorrow.
