1. On my esp app, it only shows upcoming 7 days schedule for loadshedding..is there any way to see the far greater schedule , let's say a month's..?..what are the steps .
2. Does it happen that forecast scheduled mentioned on the app, let's say for tomorrow or for 2 days after suddenly gets changed when the day actually arrives.?..if yes, then how often does this happen .is it rare .?

Now naturally it can't tell you the stage just the time slots

The stages change on the fly

The time slots changes from time to time ie to make sure one area doesn't always get shedding on the same time

ie so sometimes you will fall in the 6-8pm slot for a while until the schedule rolls over, throwing you in a different schedule

Otherwise one area will always have load shedding over cooking time which would be unfair?

Can't recall how regular that change is but maybe this gives that details, otherwise you have to check in to get the new one

Load shedding notifier, but also generally the schedule doesn't change, so if you were off a month ago, you'll be off

Why would you want to know the schedule for more than 3 days hence given that they change the schedule every 2 or 3 days...?

No. All depends on how Ramaphosa feels any given day.

Ah.

Eskom doesn't even know when they are going to do it.

Moral of the story, don't make any plans.
Yea..actually, i had certain plans for today depending on the loadshedding schedule i saw 2 days earlier..but today suddenly, when i saw in the app , the schedule got/seemed changed and all my plans were destroyed....

Now, this may be mistake on my side as i might have incorrectly saw and remembered the schedule 2 days back, but i am kind of very certain that the schedule got changed suddenly today.(as i had fixed a zoom meeting 2 days ago based on timeslot for today, but today my laptop battery died in the middle of zoom meeting and the whole meeting slot fell in the middle of loadshedding schedule...) ...:)

Hi. Thanks for reply..have you noticed this thing from experience that they only follow the next 3 days schedule and schedule for 4th, 5th, 6th day etc they generally change?..

I have been caught off guard once or twice like that

i think the app has criteria of only update the schedule every x amount of time, ie to limit how busy the servers get

And then a person might check the app with what is essentially old data not realising it, because it hasn't refreshed, and then when caught off guard then you check the app again it has updated and you think you were daft

Or that is at least the excuse i tell myself when i get it wrong

Take Eskom out of the picture with a small backup power system for your laptop, lighting and router.

If you're in SA for a short visit, find someone/place with backup power for reliable zoom meetings.

Most schedules are valid for 4 days then they move up 2 hours. So a 2-hour slot starting 22h00 moves to 20h00, then 18h00, etc. That includes the other slots too, 6 hours apart. With every change there is generally a shorter break of 4 hours

Doesn't matter if there is no LS, the slots keep changing
