Thought we could do a weekly theme inspired photo thread

Maximum of 2 entries per theme. Then we have the last winner judge the next winning shot (So no one can win 2 weeks in a row).

Maybe, if one of the mods would be kind enough, we could add for that week the title: MyBB photographer?

If you guys are not interested could the mods please delete this thread?

I think it's about time this thread was resurrected so between now and Feb 10 the theme is Street Photography.

One rule: your submission has to contain at least one person.

Plenty of time to shoot (including two weekends) but only one entry per person - feel free to chop and change up until closing.

To sweeten the pot first prize will be some MyBB branded gear.

Im all for it, but why does AvatarS get to pick the topic? It should be someone who is very actively involved in the other picture threads. I nominate the following five people to pick a theme: Bwana, ldmelsa, Rouxenator, TB and MH. Ill be happy with any one of those. If I left out someones name, sorry, anyone one who is an active member in those 2 threads is fine. (Just realised I left out KoffieJunkie)

Also because she is not that active the theme is then less bias

And I tend to agree, water is nice and easy for the first week to test how well this works. But one of those you mentioned should pick the winner imo

That could work if a mod reset the poll every week. Also IIRC the poll can only have 10 options :/ So maybe someone can pick 10 "finalists" and the we vote?

That could work Or... lets see... hmmm... if there were more than 10 entries break it up into two or more separate polls some how and then have a final poll from the winners of the primary polls. (Polls - sounds too american, but Bwana wont mind, he would have to run those lovely american things )

How about... Friday to Friday? Close for all entries is midnight on the Thursday, the winner is picked on Friday, and the winner picks the new theme on Friday. That gives you the weekend and the whole week to shoot. Agreement?

I don't see the point of saying "he/she" every time, and think it's a complete waste, so I refuse to do it. I tend to use "he" as opposed to "he/she" or "their"; it's just a personal preference, but doesn't exclude the other gender. Then again, all my legal agreements have a clause near the beginning indicating that "any reference to one gender will be deemed to be a reference to the other gender as well".

Yes Friday to thursday midnight.

We will sort out how to pick the winners throughout the week (iow we will see if bwana will / can help us)

All those are 100% correct + the fact we are not allowed to enter "old" photos. You have to take it in that week.
