Okay, so I'm back - National Braai Day was requiring my attention for a while, sorry about that - but I am pleased to announce this week's winner.

Before I do though, I just want to say that it was really hard to judge this week, because there were so many good and interesting entries. But my favourite out of the lot is ToxicBunny's entry of the monkey:

My reason for choosing this as the winner... Well, first of all, I really liked the different take on the shot. "Interactions" are, by definition, something that happens between two or more objects. In the other photos we saw both the objects taking part in the interaction, but in Toxic's photo the interaction is between the monkey and... well, you! I can really feel as if I am there, with the monkey staring straight back at me. On a more technical note, the colours and DOF are great. Some lightening/highlighting around the face might be nice though, to bring out a bit more detail (though who am I to talk - I hate post processing :) ). Also, the cropped photo composition works very well (though I actually didn't see the pic before it was cropped).

So, very well done ToxicBunny!

PS. Runners up are the Siamese Cats, and the Bonsai Tree roots.

Only thought to check this thread now..

Many fanks Clair :)... yeah, I know it needs a bit of work to bring out more of the detail..and i will do just that to make it better, but I did pretty much no post-processing on the original.

I've had a bit of diffculty coming up with a new theme, what with me being so damn tired and such...

I think I'm going to go for a relatively easy one here, but one that can be interpreted quite interestingly..
