The waves in Kogel bay had 'rainbow spray' the other day. Amazing sight, so pissed I didn't have my camera. To add insult to injury a school of dolphins swam by.

No, my girlfriend wanted to stop and pick some grasses from the side of the road in the Eastern Cape... We saw it then. Apparently it's a Golden Orb Spider...

Ayup.. They can make really big webs if given the chance and even end up webbing through other spiders webs.
That one you have captured is a female.
The male is minute in comparison but can sometimes be found on the females web in the corners

Laughed at this though I know the feeling: the uncontrollable leaps and spins you do, whilst running at high speed in any random direction, trying to figure out which part of your body the thing is crawling up...
