Weekly US hardware sales

Not good for the Sony fans out there but good for Doobiwan before he goes home ;)

The 360 has finally managed to overtake the PS2 and the PS3 is still propping up the charts. Except this time it has even fallen under the GBA...

Lets not even get into the Software sales where the PS3 is being outsold 5:1 compared to the Wii and Xbox 360...

The Wii is obviously still in the lead in software sales but the 360 is actually closing the gap....
 
off topic: did the sony fanboys disappear with the recent demise of the PS3? Havent heard much from them lately...maybe waiting waiting to pounce when/if the PS3 makes a comeback? ;)
 
So the PS3 made 100k software sales, while the Wii made 90k hardware sales. Anybody else find that as kind of an embarrassing stat?
 
American population = 300 million
South Africa population = 44 million (14% of US pop.)

Number of Pokemon copies sold in US last week = 92,000
Imagine if 12,880 copies were sold here

Other interesting possibilities of percentages
South Africans would own:
- 1.7 million DS
- 90 000 Xbox 360s
- 9 800 copies of Forza 2 (bought last week alone)
- hell, last week we would have bought 322 Gamecubes even.

We are but a drop in the ocean.

We also have a far, far smaller average income. We would simply not hit those numbers because most people can't afford it.

Stating the obvious... well jeez, yes, thanks for that information. You know, I hadn't considered that...
