Weird Vodacom Network Problem

I called Vodacom Customer Service yesterday to report this. They suggested that I make a record of it and call them back.

What is happening is that I am getting up to 20 text messages a day from "121" that I have a missed call. But my phone never rang and it is always a different number. People that I don't know. When it started happening I called the numbers back, but I quickly stopped doing that after everyone told me that they never called my number.

I have had five of these since last night... all different numbers. I get about twenty of them every day. But I have my phone on all day and night and never hear it ring, and none of these people say they tried to call me in the first place.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I'm with Virgin and luckily nothing like this has happened. I switched to Virgin in 2006, when they just came out. I was with Vodacom for 2005 and most of 2006, but I also got strange phone calls and sms's. I doubt it's the same as you are getting though
