Companies like Twitter being valued at absurd amounts is an indication of where capitalism is headed . If Twitter ceased to exist tomorrow, nobody would die, life would be largely unaffected.
if agricultural assets and infrastructure worth the equivalent amount were to cease to exist tomorrow, the result would be far more significant. The western "value" system has become absurd, unsustainable and, frankly, ridiculous. Kids making YouTube videos of absolute trash and earning millions of dollars for this, is long term sustainable in which universe?
All and any universes. I don't see the problem?

People like you and me give things like Twitter and Bitcoin value. Who do you think buys the shares and the coins?

Funny white businesses don't seem impeded by this legislation. Lots of them doing business with government and SOE's as well as the private sector.
Not really. Doing business with government in any event should not be the bar we are aiming for.

Doing business all over SA with no wasteful red tape, BEE, AA, crime, electricity woes, mafia organisations, etc. should be what we are aiming for.

Red tape is part and fabric of most governments. The difference is that some governments are a little more efficient than others. Not every business is subject to all AA laws, especially small businesses.

Right. Build up a business, but then you have to give half of it away when you grow it. Sure dearie, we are suicidal - not! So we rather end up giving one or two a job than 200. The two are also easier to manage than 200 with all the unions.

Unfortunately not so great for economic growth, but excellent for BEE and the bottom of the pile of others you refer to.
