All sex work is extremely harmful to women. Thinking that making it legal makes all those issues go away is beyond naïve. Same with the porn industry.
It's a different set of problems.

Illegal sex work is more human traffic.
Legal just has some negative social issues, that can be prevented/avoided if people raise their daughters correctly.

Legal does not need to mean we view it positively as a viable career choice for a woman and encourage it.

The main argument against criminalizing anything that people want, drugs, alcohol, prostitutes... is simply that that doesn't work. It just pushes it underground.

Bit silly to argue we should do something that doesn't work in practice because it just makes people feel better.

This. Prohibition has never worked - it just makes a section or strata of Society feel better or "holier than thou".

Correct. Under the German social security programme, you receive payment monthly for being unemployed. If the government finds employment for you, no matter what it is and you turn it down, you lose the unemployment social security payment.

The only exception is employment as a prostitute as it's considered employment in Germany. This had to be confirmed by a court case where a woman refused employment as a prostitute and stood to lose her social security payment.
