Hi, I just purchased a new computer, installed windows and service pack 2, I have 2 issues that i require help for:

a) Western Digital 250gig HD - windows recognises it as a 127 gig hd??
b) Speakers, only 1 side works, tested it on laptop and both work, getting new nforce 4 drivers

I have an Asus A8N SLI Premium m/b

Any solutions?

Probably the speaker plug is not the right size.
It's to long or to short, resulting in only one speaker getting a connection.

Borrow somebody else's speakers and compare the plug. If the plug is the same size, then the stupid sound card has some pathetic proprietory plug.

I have that on one sound card at home ... it's annoying as hell.

Ok, found the problem, got 2 green plugs, on on top of the case and the other at the back like normal, when its plugged in the top one it works fine, when plugged in the back green port then only 1 speaker works? What do i need to do to fix the back one?

Just check your nforce sound panel(nvmixer) make sure wave, synth and cd is unmuted and mute everything else., check the input options and turn of both check marks( if there are any ). If it still doesn't work it could be hardware related. You got a built in sound card right? onboard?

Well .. the ports on the front of the case are meant for headphones and are by default the normal sterio headphone ports.

Usually ... the headphone ports are on while the speaker ports are on.

It seems to me that the ports on the back are different.
If you pull the plug a little bit out of the back port can you get the sound to work on both or perhaps the other speaker ? That would indicate incorrect plug size.
