The police are exactly in the position where the Government wants them: Under-funded, under staffed and unprepared, forcing them to take options which leads to corruption.

Next is the push through the new gun legislation which will leave the public essentially defenceless. Get your gun licence and arm yourselves people!

I'm slightly envious of them, and traffic police, if you want a bottle of captain all you have to do is stand near a stop street and start pulling over those who don't come to a complete stop, within an hour you'll have enough for a bottle, some coke and ice.

How is the process of getting a licensed gun?
Had this idea a few years ago until I heard it takes over a year to get one. What's the point then?

My view is that the process is intentionally marketed cumbersome in order to demotivate. The truth is that, because it takes so long, it is very unobtrusive to your day-to-day overall. Just start it.
