Just had a discussion on what “Voda” stands for: Voice and Data

The name Vodafone comes from voice data fone (the latter a sensational spelling of "phone"), chosen by the company to "reflect the provision of voice and data services over mobile phones".

One thing I like about telkom mobile is its hardcapped with resume option. Gives peace of mind esp when kids tend to watch youtube stuff on the sly...

I switched from Telkom to Vodacom. Got tired of paying less and getting bad coverage, international roaming the NEVER worked no matter how many times I complained and when it did work it cost 3 x the price of Vodacom's roaming. Also at the time Telkom's LTE data was dead as doornail.

In Telkom's defence though, I know they have fixed up their LTE a lot now.

But i'm sticking with Vodacom, it just works and its works well.
