Does anyone have some info on what modem to buy. I have only ever used a dial-up connected to my internal modem.
Now will have a desktop and laptop.
Also anyone have an opinion on Packard Bell Easynote r1802 R5999 or the Fujitsu Amilo 1.5GHz R6695. Same spec.

thanks

I second the Billion. Either the 5102 or the 5102s. One is single port and other is 4 port. I run my office network off my Billion 5102 4 port router. If you can afford it go wireless.

Where to buy them though? That Digital Planet place has very good prices and I was going to go with them, but after checking out that thread about them they don't really sound like an option anymore, and I'm struggling to find a decent place to buy one at a reasonable price.

I've found a few other decent-looking sites to buy the billion wireless ADSL modem/router from checking out their official site.

MouseMall.co.za : R754
http://www.mousemall.co.za/product.php?productid=16628

Jump.co.za : R754
http://www.jump.co.za/Products/Product.asp?ProductCode=PR00228963

SohoLink.co.za : R849
http://soholink.co.za/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=24&products_id=1076

Okay, so the first two are like R100 cheaper, so I suppose I'll go with one of them unless anyone has anything scary to say about them. Thanks guys!

What about the one that Telkom supplies R800 for a wireless modem + extra ports and includes two filters. Not a bad deal??
