It's not that hard. My friends' 64 year old dad from Ireland climbed Platteklip with us in Jan no problem. First time too.

Anyone can do it. Just get off your lazy ass.
i did India Venster again about 4 weeks ago (the heat was extreme) and stumbled upon a guy aged 74 doing it. We had a great chat and off he went again, all on his own
i sure hope one day i can still be that fit at that age.

i do however cheat and take the cable car down everytime seen as i only paid R600 last year Feb for my annual card that allows you up and down once a day for a year (you get 20% discount if you have a Wild Card or a My Green Card).

Once again you trolling....like our last encounter. Read my post history.
If you do, you will see.

Good luck turning 50. Been there. Done that.
Just because he's fit doesn't mean he's trolling. Again... age doesn't give you an excuse to be lazy.

Maybe you should exercise more, boomer.

How much does it cost to sleep in the huts and are they pretty safe?

What other wild camping is there that's as close to Cape Town?

R200 ppn and very very safe. But you have to get in with someone that is a member already, kind of like a club.
otherwise there is a proper house up there for rent about 500m away, looks very decent and i recall sometime back it was R2000 a night. not sure how much it is now

They all easy to get to, you start at Constantia Nek Parking Lot and walk up the jeep track for an hr and a bit until you get to them
