I don't know, tried a e-reader, paper white and the back light one. Just cant get used to it, still prefer the real thing.
Very satisfying closing a real book once done
Yea I remember those things from the last time my kindle broke.

Finding your page, trying to read the words close to the binding, strange unbalanced thing that spontaneously combusts for no reason...

And I keep pressing on a word to get the definition but nothing happens :crying:

It takes a bit of getting used to (like buying a new mouse), but after the initial hurdle you never look back.

Book Advantages:
- With e-books I tend to forget the book's name, author and front page pic pretty much immediately, making it a lot more difficult to tell people about the book or even to remember if I've read it.
- Battery Life: Not really a problem as even my old e-reader can go for 3+ books

Book Disadvantages:
- Weight : It's a lot more comfortable holding the e-reader for longer in odd positions
- Total Books: Traveling somewhere you can load up a ton of books on your e-reader
- Reading Speed: I read slower on real books, since I tend to have to waste a lot of time working the book spine to get at pages (even though you tend to have smaller pages on e-book)

Nevermind that my sinuses seem to be allergic to old books, so after a while I have to toss them anyway.

Kindle arrived
book loaded

ready for the train ride home

Farkin peer pressure...I ordered one now too  (my third Kindle purchase - gave the others as gifts).

Been putting it off for a few years now while I whittled my real book backlog down - still got these to go (not the Sandman and Walking Dead - read those).

Next up ::> Becky Chambers - The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet

Started the first few chapters already. Decided on this because the short review of it read as follows:

This book was probably the most fun that we’ve had with a space opera novel in a long time. Rosemarie joins the crew of the Wayfarer, and goes on one hell of an adventure. You know that fun feeling that you had with Firefly or Farscape? The Long Way to a Long Angry Planet has it all. Alien crew on a spaceship? Check. Entertaining characters? Check. Fun and adventure in the depths of space? Check check check.

Told you. :)

I've read exactly 1 paper book since getting my first Kindle. Incredible value.

I'm still judging you for not reading Rise... btw.

Argh ok ok... So much to do, so little time.

This is what I'll do: Listen to Chambers, and start to actualread Rise, then when Chambers is done, I'll add audio to Rise.

I'd tell you to go read Red Rising, but you don't seem to enjoy sci-fi as much.
