I was jealous that you got the credit for introducing the wonder of that book to anyone, but I realised that I really have no idea of the nature of the transaction, nor faith in my recollection of my recent history as an acolyte of the series.
I think I convinced fanie to read hyperion

I am reading this atm, is it just me or is this a bit slow at the start, it will obviously get better seeing all the post in the thread.

It's long, so will be slow... this is definitely not something that can boom-crash-banged

Reading Belgarath the Sorcerer now that I finished the Belgariad and Mallorean. Think once I am done with this I will try another military history book rather than more fantasy.

Are the other books as good ?

I liked the separate stories in book1

This is my view... 1-Awesome with the seperate stories. 2-Still great, but not so much imo. I then took a very long break before doing Endymion. I absolutely loved the two Endymion books. I don't know why but my expectation was a little low as I thought it was going to be about [redacted] but ended up being something completely different, and such an awesome adventure.

If you've only finished 1, push through 2 and get to 3 and 4.

Thanks. I have been on a break but I think I must get back in to my books. This will be a good start.

The first 3 were good, got bored with them after that.

Whoever recommended Saxon chronicles, halfway through it, think book 5.
I Would say the beginning is not that great but it gets quite good once you're about 4 chapters in.

Trying to read the 3rd David Baldacci - John Puller book, but for some reason I am not able to purchase books on my kindle anymore. When trying to purchase or download samples I get an error unable to process order, but I can buy kindle books from my PC and then synch it to my Kindle where it will download after 48 hours.

Anyone had this issue before ?
