Just finished listening to the first 8 in the Iron druid chronicles. Sweet and short time passers but at first I found the excessive pop culture references rather annoying but as I got into it stopped really bothering me. And the dog make chuckle a couple of times

Now I'm going to take a break from fantasy and try some historical stuff.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown
It's not very good I'm afraid, but not so bad that I won't finish it! The writing is actually quite engaging but the story lacks something

So I read the first book and agree with you that it lacked something but I have to say the second book, Golden Sun, was way way better. I'm really enjoying this series and have just started the third book.

Anybody finish the dark tower series?
I got to book 3 I think then lost interest. But this was a few years ago so I cannot remember exactly.

Wonder if I should pick it up again.

Hi DigitalSoldier

You may need to update your kindle firmware.

You might have to download the file on your computer and then do the update.

War of the Ancients - a Warcraft novel. Really enjoying it.

Read some novel years back can't remember the name. Took place when the Legion first invaded. First war on the legion around the Hyjal area.

Yup. Same novel. Ties in well with the current expansion as well.

Ringworld by Larry Niven

Sci-Fi. Sometimes sounds childish/simple....strange.

Listening to "Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan". I think I'll buy and read the physical book though in order to do it justice. Too many distractions with audiobooks.

Recently finished it and the ringworld engineers. Must say the characters are entertaining. The Speaker and Nesis dynamic was great.
