Recently finished it and the ringworld engineers. Must say the characters are entertaining. The Speaker and Nesis dynamic was great.

Don't agree. I feel that I can write better. The characters come across as children in adults bodies.

now reading, "Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett". It's a really excellent read - amazing how about which is supposed to be about the building of a cathedral can be so long, full of drama and amazing.

First time reading one of his books. Has a slight cheesiness / pulp quality to it, dunno...see what happens the next few chapters.
Kurt Vonnegut - The Sirens Of Titan.

By the way, by "read" I mean "listening to" lol. I should really replace my lost kindle at some point.
I read as much as possible but also go through a load of audio books on the way to and from work.Passes the time in the traffic nicely.

My absolute favourite author. If this bounces off you please try Bluebeard. It has less of the pulpy sf which turns a lot of new readers off prematurely.

The Sirens Of Titan is one of those bizarre books that can be very divisive.

Slaughterhouse-Five is essential reading, imo.

Still need to read more of his stuff. Only read Revelation Space (which I really liked)...
