So it doesn't work. Thanks. Face the facts.
It does work? Depends on the company sending the OTP, same as Apple...
So a subscription service you pay for separately?
So it doesn't have that. Thanks.
It has proper encryption, iCloud doesn't. Thanks.
So it doesn't have that. Thanks.
Samsung Android does. Thanks.
We'll see 7 years down the line.
So same as Apple where they do <7 year for some devices? Thanks.
Sure you won't think it's an issue being an Android fanboy. It's still annoying.
At least don't have to install a system update to update my browser...
So it's slow. Thanks for confirming.
Well, had a system update, it took under 30 seconds, so shorter than iOS.
Why use a third party password manager when I don't need to?
So you need to own a Mac to be able to have that sync.
If you use Chrome, it's synced across. If you use Firefox on both, it's synced across. Your argument is you need to buy a physical device to have it work, installing software on any other machine doesn't work.
Yes Pages has feature parity between web/Mac/iPhone
Fewer features...
Okay.
Okay.
Just answer the damn question. You Android fanboys always deflect.

Cool, you've found one game that also only runs on iPhone 15 Pro and up.
Not nearly the same thing. Siri shortcuts are miles ahead.
Just no.
Weird on Reddit and even this forum people have been complaining about it for years.
So because people claim about it draining battery it means what exactly? It's any system service, so depends on your phone etc., not sure what your argument exactly is. Google Play services have used 3% of my battery, I used the same using my camera for 3 minutes about (video recording then).
Great that they fixed that then. Hopefully they fixed scanning in documents as well. Going through Google drive is just terrible and slow.
"Fixed", it's been like that for a few years at least since I remember it being a thing like 2018.
The build in Stocks app works fine for me and is better than Google half assing things.
Okay, if you feel like it. Cool thing about Android is you can pick any dev's stock widgets that are miles better than what iOS can do as it's customized for that user type. Thanks for your opinion though.
Ah I see it's finally on the Play store
https://www.androidpolice.com/google-new-weather-app-play-store-december-2023-feature-drop/ 15 years later lol. I've always had to manually add it to the home screen to install it.
You do know that's because they revamped it on Pixel's, right? There's always been a weather app, and it depends on manufacturer what you get.
People say Android/Android TV updates are irrelevant and I thought so too but clearly it is not.
Okay.
Thanks will get my mom to switch.
You're welcome.
Good to see they've added it. Zillions of local websites still rely on SMS for 2fa.
Confused a bit, how does it matter if you accidentally delete an SMS 2FA? Just send another one.
Ah, you're arguing that you're using a Pixel with the Pixel Launcher, got it. Thought you meant pretty much any other phone manufacturer as Pixel isn't officially in South Africa.
And you can use any other launcher instead.
Okay.
Excuses excuses. It should take you back to where you were.
Why should it? If you use spotlight to open an app, should MacOS re-open spotlight after you close the app? You lack an argument here.
Didn't work for me on Linux. I had to use bluetooth and it's not reliable.
Your argument is that Linux can't cast to a Nest speaker? What does this have to do with Android?
Okay. Lol.
No it's not lol. People have been complaining for yonks.
Poor Google. It was an early innovator in mobile widgets as part of the initial version of Android in 2008. But then Apple came long.

In plenty of third-party apps, the once pride-and-glory Android widgets feel like an afterthought, as they haven't been updated together with their respective applications for a good while now and sport outdated or dysfunctional visuals that seem frozen in time. What happened?
www.phonearena.com
Google helped pioneer widgets with Android but has neglected them since. Even Google's iOS widgets are better than their Android counterparts.

I could go on and on.
So Samsung makes better widgets? And you're linking to an article that Google's own service widgets on Android just don't have consistent design/theme, etc., that Android generally doesn't enforce a theme for widgets. Samsung does have that override for lots. It lacks the mention of how you can have lock screen widgets, or any app developer can make some. E.g. my weather/calendar widget is non first-party, it has material theme and changes based on "intent", e.g. I have a calendar entry in one hour, it will show that as top and weather as small at bottom, or vice versa.
I'm an Android fanboy. Reeeeeeeee reeee reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
You're just really bad at making any good arguments. If I wasn't waiting on washing to finish for 15 minutes before heading out for the day, wouldn't have replied to this. Think I'll just add you to ignore as based on this and the previous two posts, they lack someone who is even able to do basic reasoning.
That's not Word.
It's installed by default and you can get 6 months free.
So then Spotify should be a Samsung Android Argument? Since comes with 6 months free premium and pre-installed as well. So are we now going to argue that Android has better music recommendations?
What a dumb argument. If it's still paid for and not included with the phone, then it's not part of the phone. The integration being good is, but not the service itself.
My rules work fine. Although I don't have zillions set up.
Okay.
^^it's terrible design plain and simple. Face the facts.
Agreed, they should improve it. Nothing stopping you from using any other browser.
I'm literally saying that Apple's encryption means they know what content is on their servers, and then you link that they are asked to decrypt it as well by the UK and just give in as an argument for how Apple's encryption is better. Very odd.
They'll need to fix the design first.
No they don't.
"And even smooth out the jerky transitions as you switch between lenses".
It's a software thing, they could do it, you just need to know the distance between each lens and have a small crop.
Issue right now is that it still requires upload and done on Google servers, they should be able to do that locally imho.
But again, think I've literally done this once so far, outside of that I am not swapping lenses where that's an issue, it's only noticeable on jumping to telephoto and I can "override" that by using a manual lens. The telephoto on my pixel is better than on iOS, at least that's been my subjective opinion versus my gf's iPhone 14 Pro.
