I want a small system that can take a TV (330w) a computer (320w) and a router. I am looking at a 1000w inverter, a 100ah batttery and (if the inverter doesn`t have a charger) a charger. Im looking for something around R3000 - R4000. Any suggestions?

Who of the old timers still remembers?

Good luck with that budget. You would have to DIY it, and even then, the PC might fall by the wayside.

What monstrosity of a TV do you have that draws 330w? I connected my 50'+ TV (in eco mode) on a modded cheapo UPS with extra batteries in parallel and a fan to keep the setup cool - see this thread for some inspiration.

Depending on the router, just get a mini-ups/gizzu type of solution. Can be had for <R1000

You have about 600watts useable juice from a 100AH lead battery so you're already under 1hour uptime

Most likely that neither your PC, nor your TV will use that mutch. You don't want to use more than 150-200W anyways, unless you want to buy a whole bunch of batteries.

Get this before you spend more money:
