What can I do if I can't recover my Xperian and Transunion accounts?

Firstly, I did get my credit score done using XDS (thanks supersunbird for the links in other thread if you happen to read this). So it's not like I can't get one at all.

The problem with these two is that I did a credit check long long ago so my account is already on their system. So I tried to do it again this year but I cannot:

* Reset the password (either their forms are broken or I cannot remember the security questions)
* Contact them (tried emailing them but no response)
* Create a new account because the accounts are tied to my id number

I'm starting to wonder whether they have a call center that you can phone for this kind of problem?

After 7 minutes on the phone Transunion send me a temporary username and password but it didn't work. Now my account is blocked again.

EDIT: Will try credit4life later not in the mood to go through this schlep. These companies have tighter security then all banks. Allow me to reset my password online. How hard can it be?!

I think it's Transunion where you get a "password reset" only to be taken to the new registration form again. Like what the hell.

Credit4Life gave me a much better experience since it was a "new" registration. Hopefully you'll have an easy time too

It's a bit of a con really. It's so they can make it as hard as possible to get your free credit record.
Tried getting mine and after you do they lock your account across the 4 providers. Then you need to contact them to unlock the account which they don't do.

Send them an e-mail saying you are trying to pay for one of their products but can't because the account is locked.
