Yip. Only worthwhile if your graphics are that important to you or if you really have money to throw around.

Take a look at the 8800GT. Costs around R2500 for a really awesome one. Damn fast too.

Can anyone tell me if 2 x 8500GT 256MB will run more than two monitors nicely? My 8500GT runs two 22" at native resolution perfectly....Not for gaming or anything hectic - just general stuffs....?

Yeah, sure it will. But it won't take anything other than "general stuffs". I'd rather buy one card with the combined price. It will have two output ports and then you will be able to run two screens and do hectic stuff. 8500GT's have not been Nvidia's proudest moments.

I am running 2 off my current 8500GT. I wanna run more than that off a 2nd one

I have an 8800GTS 320meg on my PC. I am very disappointed with performance although I think it may not be the card. I have a dual core 4200+ AMD 939 and apparently it may be slowing down the gfx card. I can't even run trackmania nations free edition on high settings and to me that is a simple game, coolest game ever but no hectic eye candy. I can't even run Crysis on medium graphics and anything lower than that makes the game pretty pointless as it's major selling point was graphics afterall.

Thinking of overclocking but I will start another thread. I can always SLI another 8800GTS however 8800GTS is way too overpriced, always has been and I am sad I didn't wait for the newer cards.
